The bookshop is open during regular site visitation hours: May-October, Friday-Saturday, 11-4. Payment is by cash or check.

Dr. William B. Rhoads provides an incisive review of the contributions to the Colonial Revival Style by two late distinguished Ulster County architects, Myron Teller and Harry Halverson. The 35-page 8” x 11 ½” soft cover book was published in 2005 by Friends of Historic Kingston.
Kingston: Postcard History Series

The book features over 200 postcard images with text and provides a concise and informative narrative of Kingston through early postcards. There are images of the Stockade, Midtown and the Rondout sections of the city. Published by Arcadia, 2013.

Edwin M. Ford, City of Kingston Historian – $19.99 + tax
This 128-page book illustrates four centuries of architecture, streetscapes and various aspects of life from the mid-1800s to the mid-1900 throughout the city. Photos are from the Friends of Historic Kingston archives and several private collections. The text was researched and written by Edwin M. Ford, former City of Kingston Historian. Published in 2004 by Arcadia as part of the Images of America Series.
Julia McEntee Dillon
Sanford A. Levy – $20 + tax
This exhibit catalogue for the FHK Gallery 2005 retrospective of the life and work of Kingston artist Julia McEntee Dillon (1834-1919) who was noted for her floral paintings. The text is by Sanford Levy of Jenkinstown Antiques, New Paltz, co-curator of the exhibition. Published by Friends of Historic Kingston, 2005.
Joseph Tubby, Artist: Rondout, New York

An exhibit catalogue was produced to accompany the 2008 retrospective in the FHK Museum Gallery featuring the work of Joseph Tubby (1821-1896)), 19th century Kingston artist noted for his paintings of local landscapes. The text is by guest curator Sanford Levy.
Jervis McEntee “Kingston’s Artist of the Hudson River School”

Published to accompany FHK Gallery exhibit 2015, the book includes essays by Dr. William B. Rhoads and Lowell Thing, illustrations of works by the artist and vintage photographs of McEntee and family members and close friends. Published by Black Dome Press in 2015.

The listings are arranged alphabetically with each entry containing information on when and how the street developed, along with names of its notable buildings, businesses and residents.
